ROTATABLE DISPLAY DEVICE AND PICTURE CONTROLLING METHOD FOR ADAPTIVELY APPLYING USER'S PICTURE ADJUSTMENT REQUEST

PURPOSE: A rotatable display device and a picture controlling method are provided to adjust a picture on a display unit using the same control condition or control item by adaptively applying a user's picture adjustment command in consideration of the rotating state of the display unit. CONSTITUTION: A rotatable display device includes a command input unit(205) for receiving a user's picture adjustment command, a display unit(208) for displaying an image corresponding to a video signal, a pivot processor(203) for rotating an image corresponding to an input video signal when the display unit is rotated and outputting the image to the display unit, and a controller. The image is rotated in the direction in which the display unit is rotated. The controller adjusts a picture on the display unit in consideration of the relationship between the picture adjustment command and the rotating direction of the display unit when the picture adjustment command is received when the display unit is rotated.
