The system includes a warning generator which generates a warning based upon an aircraft (1) reaching, approaching, or exceeding a warning altitude limit. An altitude prediction module which predicts the altitude and forwards the predicted altitude to the warning generator, based upon a prediction set point. The current position of the aircraft is determined by the calculation module of a primary sensor system, and is relative to the terrain (3) stored in a terrain database. The calculation module determines a reference altitude (hDB) of the current position from the terrain. A secondary sensor system and a module determine a predetermined flight altitude difference (delta hF) at the predicted position and terrain data in a region (U) of the predicted position. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a low-altitude flight guidance warning system; (B) a low-altitude flight guidance warning generator; and (C) a low-altitude flight guidance method.
