PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To release certainly operating oil or bubble in an oil pressure chamber out of the oil pressure chamber. SOLUTION: A fuel injection valve includes a drive piston 16 and an intermediate piston 14 slidably housed in a drive piston housing hole 15 and an intermediate piston housing hole 13 extended in a fuel injection valve longitudinal axis direction K-K in a housing 2. The oil pressure chamber 17 formed of a bottom 16a of the drive piston 16, a top face 14a of the intermediate piston 14 and inner wall surfaces of the drive piston housing hole 15 and the intermediate piston housing hole 13 is filled with fuel. A supplementary path 30 for supplementing the fuel in the oil pressure chamber 17 is formed in the intermediate piston 14, and the supplementary path 30 is connected to the oil pressure chamber 17 via an indraft check valve 31 which can communicate only toward the oil pressure chamber 17. A relief passage 32 is formed in the drive piston 16, and the oil pressure chamber 17 is connected to the relief passage 32 via a discharge check valve 33 which can communicate only toward outside of the oil pressure chamber 17.
