PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical glass having optical constants of refraction factor (nd) of 1.57-1.65 in d-line and Abbe number (γd) of 55-65,≤500°C yield temperature (At) and remarkably improved weather resistance. SOLUTION: The optical glass contains glass components by wt. of 37-50% P<SB>2</SB>O<SB>5</SB>, 0.5-15% B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 1-8% Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 10-25% (excluding 10%) CaO, 0-10% (including 0) MgO, 0-25% (including 0) SrO, 0-30% (including 0) BaO, 1-35% ZnO, 1-15% Li<SB>2</SB>O, 1-15% Na<SB>2</SB>O and 1-15% K<SB>2</SB>O, where Li<SB>2</SB>O+Na<SB>2</SB>O+K<SB>2</SB>O is 5-20%.
