PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bath water cleaning device in which a filtering material can be appropriately cleaned. SOLUTION: The filtering material of a filter tank 21 is cleaned about once a day by forming a circulation path of bath water in the reverse direction over which the bath water flows. It passes from a circulating pump 20, through a switching valve C29, a switching valve A26 and a heater 22, is introduced into the filter tank 21 from its counter side and returns from a switching valve B27 to the circulating pump 20 by switching of the switching valves A26, B27 and C29. In this case, chlorine is poured in the bath water from a chlorine pouring instrument 1 until chlorine in the bath water reaches an appropriate concentration for cleaning the filtering materials and the bath water is heated by the heater 22 to 50°C or higher.
