PURPOSE: A mobile phone having an RF signal detector and an RF tag used with the same are provided to detect an RF signal transmitted from an RF tag, to extract the intrinsic information and size of the RF signal, to display the distance between a mobile terminal and the RF tag, and to generate a warning signal if the distance exceeds a reference value. CONSTITUTION: A mobile phone having an RF signal detector comprises a receiving part(31), a demodulation part(32), an amplification part(33), a signal processing part(34), a level signal generation part(35), and an ID storage part(21). The receiving part(31) receives an RF signal, transmitted from an RF tag, through an antenna(50). The demodulation part(32) removes a carrier wave from the RF signal outputted from the demodulation part(32) and detects a signal wave containing the ID information of the RF tag. The amplification part(33) amplifies the signal wave outputted from the demodulation part(32). The signal processing part(34) filters the amplified signal wave to extract the ID information of the RF tag. The level signal generation part(35) detects the size of the amplified signal wave and generates a level signal, such as a digital signal having information on the size of the signal wave or an analog signal proportional to the size of the signal wave. The ID storage part(21) stores ID information to recognize and identify the RF tag.
