PURPOSE: A satellite broadcasting receiver for receiving a dual channel is provided to receive and process two different broadcasting signals using a single tuner module to reduce the size of the satellite broadcasting receiver. CONSTITUTION: A satellite broadcasting receiver includes a tuner module(21) and an MPEG IC(22). The tuner module includes an input unit(21a) for receiving a satellite broadcasting signal from a low noise frequency converter, a loop-through output unit(21b) for outputting the satellite broadcasting signal, a control signal input unit, an amplifier operated in response to a control signal provided by the control signal input unit to amplify the signal received from the input unit, and the first and second I/Q demodulators for demodulating signals having selected frequencies among the signal output from the amplifier into I/Q signals. The tuner module further includes the first and second matching units for matching the amplifier with the first and second I/Q demodulators, the third matching unit for matching the amplifier with the loop-through output unit, and a dual FEC(Forward Error correction) demodulator for converting two demodulated analog broadcasting signals input from the first and second I/Q demodulators into digital signals and FEC-demodulating the digital signals to output the first and second data streams, and the first and second data output units for outputting the first and second data streams. The MPEG IC simultaneously receives the first and second data streams and demodulates the data streams to reproduce video and audio signals.
