RAPID WHITE BALANCE METHOD FOR COLOR DIGITAL IMAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rapid white balance method for a color digital image which is applied to an RGB color area of the image.

SOLUTION: The image is divided into several blocks to obtain a G parameter. Then an averaged R parameter and an averaged B parameter of the respective blocks are obtained. Then an R parameter and a B parameter of the whole image are obtained. Then an R gain and a B gain are obtained by using the R parameter and B parameter. Lastly, the image is adjusted. In this invention, one RGB value is only used for respective pixels. A processing time becomes short and picture quality is improved.
