<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fermented milk product having as the active components a peptide and a fermented product in the fermented milk product and having an intestinal function controlling effect besides a hypotensive action owing to its antibacterial action, in spite of being the fermented milk product having a lactic acid bacterium killed by heat sterilization treatment after lactic acid fermentation. <P>SOLUTION: This fermented milk product has the intestinal function controlling effect even without fixation of the lactic acid bacterium to the intestinal tract besides hypotensive action by the fermented product, owing to the peptide as the fermented product obtained by fermenting using Lactobacillus helveticus K-4 (deposited as an accession number of FERM P-12249 in the International Patent Organism Deposit of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
