PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To classify various categories of audio contents in an audio data recording and reproducing disk. SOLUTION: As an example, a type of an ID code is classified to a "main category", a "sub-category", "input source", and "others". The main category is classified to "user definition main category name" (ID code= 3Fh) except a fixed item name such as "rock", "pops". The original main category of a user can be described as a text of an item text in addition to the item name previously fixed by standard by this "user definition main category name". Further, "user definition sub-category name" (ID code=40h) is prescribed in the sub-category, the user can describe arbitrary "user definition sub-category name" by a text succeeding to this ID code=40h.
