PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit of an air conditioner, having excellent assembling work efficiency of a closing valve mounting plate and stably erecting the closing valve mounting plate on the base plate over a long period of time even after assembling. SOLUTION: This outdoor unit of an air conditioner includes an outdoor unit casing 3 having the base plate 4 and the closing valve mounting plate 24 erected from the side of the base plate 4. A fitting recessed part 35 is provided in the base plate 3, and a fitting part 36 fitted to the fitting recessed part 35 is provided on the lower part of the closing valve mounting plate 24. With the fitting part 36 of the closing valve mounting plate 24 fitted to the fitting recessed part 35 of the base plate 4, the closing valve mounting plate 24 can be self-erected from the base plate 4.
