PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high load transmission belt capable of increasing the friction coefficient and realizing the consistent friction coefficient without degrading the physical properties such as the block bending strength or the like which is enhanced by blending carbon fiber because carbon fiber is blended in phenol resin as a material to be used for a block and barium sulfate is blended therein. SOLUTION: In the high load transmission belt in which a block 2 is fixed to center belts 3a and 3b by fitting and inserting the center belts 3a and 3b in fitting grooves 14 and 15 formed in the block 2, a resin material to constitute the block 2 is formed of phenol resin, carbon fiber and barium sulfate, and obtained by blending, by 10-50 mass% carbon fibers and 5-20 mass% barium sulfate.
