PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of metal inserts necessary for forming a degassing gap in the degassing structure of an injection molding machine to reduce costs. SOLUTION: A slit part 24b is provided on the groove part 24 of the metal insert 22 so as to communicate with the gap part 27 formed on the periphery of the metal insert 22. The slit part 24b is formed so that the vertical cross section thereof becomes an almost trapezoidal shape and the end parts 24c and 24d thereof are allowed to communicate with the gap part 27. The slit part 24b is changed in its width in the length direction thereof and made relatively narrow in its deeper end part 24c while made relatively wide in its shallower end part 24d.
