PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary cutting tool superior in breaking resistance by devising a shape of a blade part. SOLUTION: This rotary cutting tool 1 includes the blade part 2, and a shank part 3 joined with the blade part 2. The rotary cutting tool 1 includes a grinding reinforcement 4 formed in the direction of -90.0°to 90.0°in the longitudinal axis direction X of the rotary cutting tool 1 on a surface of the blade part 2. Here, a grinding reinforcement 4a is desirably formed on a surface of the shank part 3 up to a positionαintruding into the shank part 3 side by 0.01 mm or more in the longitudinal axis direction X from a boundary 7 between the blade part 2 and the shank part 3.
