PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure capable of transmitting the vibration of a vibrating drill to a bit, and hardly transmitting the vibration to a user. SOLUTION: This vibrating drill has a first ratchet for rotating together with a spindle, and moving in the axis direction, a second ratchet movable and nonrotatable in the axis direction by engaging with the first ratchet, and a spring arranged between the second ratchet and a partial member of a housing. A constant of the spring is selected so that clearance is formed between the second ratchet and the partial member of the housing when a body frame part is pressed down by 15 to 25 kg.
