PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow even an unskilled person to correctly pierce a needle into a linear meridian point existing in an auricle corresponding to its symptoms, in a therapeutic acupuncture needle suitable for a treatment of angina pectoris or prodrome of the angina pectoris. SOLUTION: This treating acupuncture needle 1 is composed of a needle body 2 and a needle handle 3. The tip side of the needle body 2 is formed into a needle piercing part 21 pierceable into a specific linear meridian point existing in the auricle by horizontal piercing. The base end side of the needle body 2 is formed into a unpiercing part 22 unpierced into the linear meridian point, and the unpiercing part 22 is formed thicker than the needle piercing part 21, and a step part 23 is formed in a boundary part between the unpiercing part 22 and the needle piercing part 21.
