<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a variable tumble flow-generating intake port in an engine so as to improve the fluidity of air taken into a combustion chamber in the engine. <P>SOLUTION: This manufacturing method of a variable tumble flow-generating intake port comprises an upper mold manufacturing process to manufacture an upper mold formed with a space for a first passage for the intake port, a lower mold manufacturing process to manufacture a lower mold formed with a space for a second passage for the intake port, a step forming process to form a step for providing a metal plate, a metal plate incorporating process of incorporating a prescribed metal plate as a partition plate into the step, a molding sand filling process to fill molding sand inside the molds mated with each other, a core manufacturing process to separate the molds from each other to take out an intake port core integrated with the metal plate, and a cylinder head casting process to remove the molding sand of the intake port core after it is incorporated in molds for casting. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
