<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversible thermosensitive recording medium which shows successful conveyability even in case the medium is repeatedly used for recording or erasing; is free from image deterioration due to mechanical damage inflicted to the surface of the medium; and has high gloss/quality feel. <P>SOLUTION: This reversible thermosensitive recording medium has a thermosensitive recording layer which contains an electron-donative coloring compound and an electron-receptive compound, as main components and also contains a reversible thermosensitive composition which can relatively form a color developed state and a decolored state due to a difference in the heating temperature and/or the cooling rate after heating; and a protecting layer formed on the thermosensitive recording layer, both layers being formed on a support.
