METHOD FOR PRODUCING ORGANIC COMPOUND WITH METALLOSILICATE PHOTOCATALYST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for selectively converting a reactant having a specific molecular diameter into an objective substance in the presence of a metallosilicate having a specific average pore diameter in a liquid phase, concretely to provide a method for selectively converting an organic compound having approximately the same molecular diameter (minor axis) as the average pore diameter of the metallosilicate in the presence of the porous metallosilicate as a photocatalyst in a water-containing solvent into the compound having a smaller size.

SOLUTION: This method is characterized by adding a metallosilicate having approximately the same average molecular diameter (minor axis) as the average pore diameter to a solution of an organic compound in a water-containing solvent and irradiating the mixture with light.
