PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide construction equipment which ensures installation of a sealing member in a gap between an engine cover and a counterweight. SOLUTION: The construction equipment has a structure such that a flange portion 11E formed on the counterweight 11 has a seal installing groove 21 formed therein in a manner surrounding the periphery of an inspection hole 12, and that the sealing member 22 for sealing the gap between the engine cover 18 in a closed position and the counterweight 11, is installed in the seal installing groove 21. By virtue of this structure, when the operator opens/closes the engine cover 18 for carrying out maintenance inspection of an engine 8 etc., an inconvenience of erroneous gripping and pulling out the sealing member 22 by the operator can be eliminated. As a result, separation or damage of the sealing member 22 can be suppressed, and therefore the sealing member 22 can be positively installed in the gap between the counterweight 11 and the engine cover 18 over a long period of time.
