PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure plate for a liquid crystal panel, which realizes highly accurate bonding of substrates. SOLUTION: In the pressure plate 1 for the liquid crystal panel to apply load to a TFT substrate 5 and a counter substrate 9 placed opposite to each other via a sealant 6, a seal region pressurizing part 2 to apply load to a seal region of the liquid crystal panel is made to have a comb shape with openings formed with nearly identical pitches.
