PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder and a method for assembling a rotor for rotary electric machines and a rotor for rotary electric machines, wherein the laminated core of a rotor can be accurately assembled without welding, which has adverse effects on the performance of rotary electric machines. SOLUTION: The rotor for rotary electric machines comprises a laminated core formed by laminating electromagnetic steel plates, and a plurality of permanent magnets fixed in holes formed in the laminated core. A means of assembling the rotor comprises a radial positioning mechanism, that defines the radial positions of laminated steel plates using the center hole formed in the electromagnetic steel plates, and a circumferential positioning mechanism that aligns the circumferential positions of the laminated steel plates, using the magnet insertion holes formed in the electromagnetic steel plates.
