PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image difference discrimination method for automatically discriminating the difference between an image that is picked up the last time, and an image that is picked up this time, on the basis of image information about colors, brightness and the like, picture image correspondence information, and the like, an image pickup device attitude control method for performing positioning to minimize the difference of the images, an image pickup device, and a program. SOLUTION: In the method for discriminating the difference between the image that is picked up the last time and the image that is picked up this time in association with the last image, in the image pickup device for photographing an object to generate and record image data thereof, this method comprises steps of: extracting the color information of the image picked up the last time; extracting the color information of the image picked up this time; extracting the difference between the extracted color information of the image picked up the last time and the color information of the image picked up this time; acquiring a display position of information corresponding to the difference of the color information; and displaying the information corresponding to the difference of the color information in the acquired display position.
