<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the worsening of control performance due to the output non-linearity of an actuator to a manipulated variable, in construction in which the output of the actuator is controlled to change the property of actuating a valve of an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: In a control device for an adjustable valve system, the output of the actuator having non-linear output property (a solid line) to the manipulated variable is controlled to change the property of actuating an intake or exhaust valve of the internal combustion engine. When the manipulated variable calculated under given linear output property (a broken line) is A1 (A2), it is not output to the actuator as it is, but it is output to the actuator after correcting (converting) the output B1 (B2) of the actuator having the given linear output property corresponding to the calculated manipulated variable A1 (A2) into a manipulated variable D1 (D2) obtainable under the non-linear output property. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
