<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a dip beam headlight doubling as a cornering light and to reduce cost. <P>SOLUTION: The dip beam headlight doubling as a cornering light has at least two light sources comprising at least one light source (S1) provided with a dip beam-type cutoff and at least one second light source (K1) provided with at least partially flat cutoff and located on the outside of the first light source so as to illuminate a sideward curve, a means (E) for detecting the track of the automobile to feed a signal depending on properties of a route through which the automobile travels, and a means (U) for increasing the brightness of light sources having at least partial flat cutoff or at least one light source (K1) of them in response to the supplied signal when there is a sideward curve relative to the light source. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
