<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mirror for vehicle of a thin membrane comprising hydride of rare-earth metal such as a magnesium-nickel based alloy thin membrane. <P>SOLUTION: Light adjustment mirror layers 20, 21 including the hydride of the rare earth metal such as the magnesium-nickel based alloy thin membrane are superposed on a curved surface of projection-like transparent bodies 11, 12 stuck on both ends of a mirror surface 2. Accordingly, physical property is converted to the mirror surface state and the transparent state only by controlling the applied voltage.
