SHOCK ABSORBER FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorber for a vehicle efficiently absorbing collision energy regardless of a collision position of an obstacle and capable of further realizing light weight by simplifying a structure. SOLUTION: The shock absorber 4 provided at a front part of a vehicle body base frame 1 of the vehicle has a shape curved convex frontwise side in a traveling direction. The shock absorber is provided with a shock absorbing plate 5 for absorbing energy when the obstacle collides through an obstacle-removing plate 3; impact absorbing materials 6 mounted to inner side surfaces of both sides of the shock absorbing plate 5 respectively and absorbing the collision energy transmitted from the shock absorbing plate 5; and a support member 7 mounted to a portion 6c so as to restrict displacement of the part 6c opposite to the shock absorbing plate 5 side of the respective impact absorbing materials 6.
