PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform emphasis printing even in the printing of a page mode in a printer having a serial dot impact head. SOLUTION: Image data (page data) in the printing of the page mode is stored in a memory (a page memory), and then the printing of the page mode is carried out on a printing region of a printing medium based on the page mode data.
