The invention relates to a method and means for activating and deactivating applications of a mobile radio terminal (1) within a mobile radio network. According to the invention, standardized codes, preferably network codes and/or country codes (MNC and MCC) are transmitted over signaling channels between the operator of the mobile radio network (2) and the mobile radio terminal (1). Said codes activate or deactivate a portion of the applications according to the configuration of the mobile radio terminal (1) and according to the mobile radio network and/or country in which the mobile radio terminal is located. The invention is characterized in that the operator of the mobile radio network (2) and the mobile radio terminal (1) exchange, over the signaling channels, codes (4, 4.1, 5, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14) containing instructions that request, in a specific manner, the operator of the mobile radio network (2) or the mobile radio terminal (1) to activate or deactivate one or more applications of the mobile radio terminal (1). |
