<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer a cable extra length absorber which can thin the main body of a case and enables the effective utilization of parts installation space. <P>SOLUTION: This wire extra length absorber is equipped with the above case 30 which accommodates a wire harness 25 and has an inlet 34 and an outlet 35 for a wire harness 25, an urging member 23 which urges the wire harness 25 in the direction of pulling the wire harness 25 into the case 30, a harness winding means 15 which reciprocates, receiving the urging of the urging member 23, and a guide member 27 which guides the harness wrapping member 15. A harness leading part 17, which leads the wire harness 25 in the drawing direction, ranges from the outlet 35, and also the harness leading part 17 is curved toward the inlet 34. The harness leading part 17 is curved in the same direction as the direction of winding the wire harness 25 on the harness winding member 17.
