<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing cartridge wherein whether it is old or new is detected without causing erroneous detection successively even in the case of confirming operation after assembly, and also to provide a processing device equipped with the developing cartridge, and an image forming apparatus equipped with the developing cartridge and the processing device. <P>SOLUTION: The developing cartridge 34 attachably/detachably attached to a laser printer 1 is provided with: a 3rd intermediate gear 70 in which motive power is inputted; a detection gear 72 irreversibly moving from a position for the new one, where it is not meshed with the gear 70, to a position for the old one, where it is not meshed with the gear 70, through a motive power transmitting position, where it is meshed with the gear 70, and an abutting member 76 formed on the gear 72. Then, a main body frame 2 is provided with an actuator 113 moving the gear 72 from the position for the new one to the motive power transmitting position by abutting on the member 76 at the time of attaching the cartridge 34. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
