摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an always stable servo signal and to realize a stable recording operation irrespective of a fluctuation in a reflected light amount caused by disk bending or the like, or the errors of a laser emission waveform, the pulse response of a front monitor, sample hold offset, or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The optical disk device has an automatic power control circuit for obtaining a difference between a reproducing/recording power value detected by a front monitor 6 and a target value to control the power of a laser beam. In the device, there are provided a detector 7 for detecting a reflected light from an optical disk, a sample holding circuit 26 for sample-holding the output of the detector 7 in reproduction power timing, and a microcomputer 29. The microcomputer 29 obtains a reference value from the reflected light of the reproducing power immediately before a recording operation start from after recording command reception to the opening of a recording gate, and corrects the target value of the reproduction power by comparing the reference value with the intensity of the sample-held reflected light during the recording operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
