<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antireflection film excellent in the interlayer adhesion of an antireflection layer and flexible substrate, storage stability and durability by restraining the deterioration of a flexible base material layer even under high-temperature and high-humidity atmosphere and even under ultraviolet irradiation environment, and excellent in flexibility even when it is used for various flexible displays, and manufactured at low cost, and to provide an image display device. <P>SOLUTION: In the antireflection film where the antireflection layer consisting of multilayer film having a different refractive index is formed on the flexible substrate directly or through another layer, at least one layer out of the antireflection layer is an imperfect inorganic oxide layer containing an inorganic component.
