<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of a golf club head provided with a plate component made of a fiber reinforced resin on at least a crown part, especially the durability of a joining part. <P>SOLUTION: This golf club head is provided with a metallic head body for which an opening is provided on the crown part 10C of a hollow wood head, a receiving part 10U in a different level shape is provided on the opening peripheral part of the head body, the plate component 12 made of the fiber reinforced resin is mounted and joined to the receiving part through an adhesive material 14' and the opening is closed. In the golf club head, an area gradually thinned or thinned stepwise to the outer side face of the plate component is provided on the peripheral part 12S of the plate component, and the adhesive material 14' is provided between the end face of the plate component and the different level end face of the receiving part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
