PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an annular-shaped and the thin driving device having a space in which other members required for use of the driving device are disposed without increasing the outside diameter of the driving device. SOLUTION: The driving device comprises a magnet rotor 1 held so that it can be rotated at a predetermined angle; a coil 3 disposed inside or outside the magnet rotor; a first stator 5 that is positioned on one-side face of faces perpendicular to the virtual axis of the magnet rotor and excited by the coil; and a second stator 6 that is positioned on the other-side face opposite the one-side face with respect to the magnet rotor, and excited by the coil. The magnet rotor is annular in shape and so constituted that its face 1a is alternately magnetized with different poles and annular in shape, and part of its annular portion is formed with cut portions 1c and 1d. Letting the angle at which the magnet rotor is rotatable beθr degrees and the angular range of the cut portions viewed from the virtual axis beθa degrees, a relationθr<θa is established.
