PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin material which, while maintaining preferable properties, such as low-temperature heat sealbility, adhesiveness to a substrate, and pinhole resistance, of linear low-density polyethylene produced using a single site catalyst, can be used as a sealant layer, an outer layer, etc., enhanced in hand tearability in unsealing or punchability in processing. SOLUTION: The resin material comprises (A) 100-40 pts.mass resin component containing an ethylene (co)polymer produced using a single site catalyst and (B) 0-60 pts.mass high-pressure free radical-process ethylene polymer. The material has a die swell ratio of 10-80% and a melt flow ratio (MFR<SB>10</SB>/MFR<SB>2</SB>) of 6.0-12, and when it is a 2 mm-thick sheet, it has an elongation at break of 770% or lower and a tensile impact value of 240 kJ/m<SP>2</SP>or higher.
