PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator rail through core measuring device and a manufacturing method for this device capable of easily and accurately measuring the through core of the elevator rail. SOLUTION: This is the elevator rail through core measuring device detachably attached at one rail disposed in an elevator hoistway so as to transfer in an upper/lower direction and having a sensor attachment frame provided with a shape measuring sensor which measures distance between the rail and a reference line provided adjacent to the rail. The sensor attachment frame has a first roller 36 disposed so as to contact with a blade surface of a projection portion of the rail, a second roller 23 disposed so as to contact with a constriction portion at the base of the projection portion, a third roller 26 disposed so as to contact with one side surface of the projection portion, and a shoe 30 provided so as to pressure contact with the other side surface of the projection portion. The shape measuring sensor measures a distance between the reference line positioned adjacent to the blade surface of the projection portion of the rail and the blade surface.
