PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner which enables the exhaustion of the odorless air without the discharge of the odor outside the body thereof even immediately after the start of the operation of the vacuum cleaner which especially makes the users apt to recognize the odor derived from dust, and is improved in deodorizing performance without increasing the size of a deodorizing means. SOLUTION: In the vacuum cleaner, a housing chamber 10 communicating with an air path is installed in the air path before a dust collection chamber 5 and the housing chamber 10 is filled with a deodorizing material 11. A part of the deodorizing material 11 is fed into the dust collection chamber. This provides the vacuum cleaner which can exhaust the odorless air without the discharge of the odor even immediately after the start of the operation of the vacuum cleaner which especially makes the users apt to recognize the odor derived from the dust, and is improved in deodorizing performance without increasing the size of the deodorizing means.
