PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing flying insects from being attracted and a device therefor by reducing ultraviolet rays and smell in a room space, further can convert the room space to an environment in which flying insects scarcely grow without a chemical, for example, an attractive insecticidal agent without installing a large-scale facility. SOLUTION: The device is equipped with a UV blocker that is covered on the luminescent position 12 of lighting equipment 1 in the room space 3 and an ozone generator 4 that fills the room space 3 with ozone gas 7. When persons stay in the room space 3, the concentration of the ozone gas filled in the room space is held to≤0.1 ppm. In the mean time, when no person stays there, the concentration of the ozone gas filled in the room space is kept in the range of from 0.2 ppm to 2.5 ppm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
