Seat, especially a vehicle seat has at least a positioning device (VE1-8) for one or more seat components. Each positioning device has a memory function that permits returning to an initial position of the corresponding seat component. A massage function can be implemented by activation of a positioning device so that a seat component undergoes a cyclical movement with a set period. In pauses between movement the seat component is returned to its initial position.
