<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of surely preventing image noise caused by the contamination of a descharger unit without burdening a user. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a discharger unit cleaning means 21 for cleaning the contamination of the discharger unit 19, a holding means 20 for holding the discharger unit cleaning means, and a pressure means 22 for pressurizing the holding means in a direction opposite to the direction attaching an image forming unit 23 . In the case of attaching the image forming unit, the holding means is pressurized by the image forming unit, then, the discharger unit cleaning means slides on the discharger unit. Then, the discharger unit is cleaned at the same time when the image forming unit is attached/detached, thereby eliminating the burden of the user, and preventing the image noise caused by the discharger unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
