<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peak/hold circuit capable of preventing malfunctions and improving performance, and an infrared communication device comprising the same. <P>SOLUTION: An infrared communication device 41 is a communication device which is capable of transmission/reception, comprising a light emitting diode D11 and a photo-diode D12 which are integrated, and comprises a time counter 47 that outputs a reset signal after the lapse of a predetermined time after a pulse of a transmission signal is not detected any more. Therefore, a predetermined period is set to a maximum no-signal period determined by communication standards, so that a hold value of a peak/hold circuit PH11 can be reset to an initial level and a receiving operation can be smoothly started after the lapse of a predetermined dead time after the transmission of transmission signals is completed, thereby improving performance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
