摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode catalyst layer for a solid polymer type fuel cell capable of realizing a solid polymer type fuel cell showing an excellent battery characteristic even when driven in a high current density region; and to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: This cathode catalyst layer 3 for a solid polymer type fuel cell contains support catalysts 5b and 5c composed by supporting at least either of platinum and a platinum alloy to a particulate carbon catalyst support, and a proton-conductive solid electrolyte. One-side part 5c of the support catalysts is a cathode catalyst layer for a solid polymer type fuel cell with an aggregate 50 formed, and the aggregate 50 can be viewed at a rate above 100 pieces/mm<SP>2</SP>in observing it by magnifying its principal surface or a cross section parallel to it at 100-fold magnification. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
