摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture polyesters from lactones and other anhydrous cyclic compounds by ring-opening polymerization in a simple, efficient and energy-saving manner. <P>SOLUTION: Polyesters are manufactured from lactones and other anhydrous cyclic compounds by using aluminum metal compounds expressed by general formula I: Al(OSO<SB>2</SB>R<SP>1</SP>)(OSO<SB>2</SB>R<SP>2</SP>)(OSO<SB>2</SB>R<SP>3</SP>) as the catalyst for the ring-opening polymerization of the lactones and the other anhydrous cyclic compounds. In general formula I, R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>are each the same or different and a perfluoroalkyl group and Al represents an aluminum atom. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
