PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the back of a transfer medium from being soiled because a pressure heat member is soiled with toner, in an image forming apparatus of a simultaneous transfer fixing system, which transfers a toner image to a recording medium and fixes it under pressure and heat at the same time. SOLUTION: In the heat pressure member that is brought into press-contact with a photoreceptor or an intermediate transfer body, the angle at which the heat pressure contact member is in contact with toner is set larger than the angle at which the photoreceptor or the intermediate transfer body is in contact with the toner.
