PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system for a vehicle for preventing inconveniences from being given to an operator, and improving convenience and operability. SOLUTION: In the navigation system for the vehicle having a destination setting means for setting a destination and a voice guiding means for guiding a guidance route to the destination set by the destination setting means by voice, the voice guidance of the guidance route is prohibited (step S16) while it is judged that an operation regarding the setting of the destination is being made (steps S12, 14).
