PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire failure detector of excellent precision capable of enhancing workability when changing setting for a test tire. SOLUTION: This detector for detecting a failure of the tire T rotated on a drum in a tire durability test has a bent-deformable U-shaped detecting body 1 extended along an outer edge T1 of the tire T, ranging over from one bead part side to the other bead part side. The failure of the tire is detected by bringing the detecting body 1 into contact with a tire surface bulged by occurrence of the tire failure. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
