PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide Japanese clothes capable of going through the ages with people, without being used as tentative fashion merchandise, by removing a defect caused by problems of conventional Japanese clothes that a wearer of the clothes has no fastening tools other than strings and sashes, when the wearer intends to wear the clothes tightly on the upper half of the body, because a theory that the clothes should be more or less worn on the upper half in a spacious manner and worn on the lower half, on the contrary, in a neat manner is changed through various ages, although a proverbial phrase says that the clothes should be worn "loosely on the upper half and tightly on the lower half" and the clothes have been technically made based thereon, and that a Japanese clothes boom in the recent years might be a temporary phenomenon, no matter whether the people ride on the crest of the boom, and should come to an end, unless the clothes are modified according to physique of the people who live in the ages, nor meet manners of wearing the clothes by the people. SOLUTION: A "coat of combinational type of Japanese and Western styles" is so structure that a button (1), a hook, a hook and loop fastener, a string, or the like is attached to one of neck bands of a conventional Japanese coat in a position where the neck band is covered with the other neck band, and a button hole (4) or the like is located on the other neck band in the position, and the button or the like is fastened, when necessary.
