PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly heat food products disposed on an upper tray and a lower tray by hot air in a heating cooker wherein hot air is fed to a heating chamber by a hot air circulating device provided on the outside of the rear part of the heating chamber. SOLUTION: In a heating cooker provided with a heating chamber 2 which accommodates a food product 1, a square upper tray 4a, and a lower tray 4b on which the food product 1 is disposed and which are installed in upper and lower two stages in the heating chamber 2, and a hot air circulating device 8 which sends hot air to the heating chamber 2 by a cross flow fan 8b, when the dimension of a gap between the upper tray 4a and a door 3 on the side of the heating chamber 2 is defined as t1, and the dimension of a gap between the lower tray 4b and the door 3 on the side of the heating chamber 2 is defined as t2, these gap dimensions are defined so that the relationship, t2<t1, is established.
