PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating device capable of preventing material to be heated from being wound round a fixing roller or a pressure roller and an image defect such as a scar from occurring on an image even when pressure force is not applied sufficiently by making the heat capacity of a heating member low from the viewpoint of energy saving. SOLUTION: In the heating device having the heating member heated by a heating means and a pressure member forming a press-contact nip part with the heating member and heating the material to be heated by introducing the material to be heated to space between the heating member and the pressure member at the press-contact nip part and holding and carrying it, the length of a perpendicular from the center part in the shaft direction of the press-contact nip part to a line linking both ends in the shaft direction of the press-contact nip part is≥1 mm.
